Gun Hill     The Gun Hill is the second highest peak in Mussoorie.It offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara, Gangotri Group etc. and a bird’s-eye view of the Mussoorie town and Doon Valley. The Gun Hill can be reached via a Ropeway, it is also accessible by bridle path which forks-off from Mall Road near Kutchery and it takes about twenty minutes to reach there. 
The Ropeway distance is 400 Mts. and the sheer thrill of the ride is memorable.
It’s history dates back to the pre-independence days when a gun mounted on "The Gun Hill" used to be fired addressing mid-day to enable people to adjust their watches and hence this name.

Kempty fall
The Kempty Fall has the distinction of being the biggest and prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley. It lies at a distance of 15 Kms from Mussoorie on the Yamunotri road, at a height of 4500 ft.
A bath at the foot of the falls is very refreshing as well as enjoyable.

Company Garden
This is one of the most popular picnic spot of Mussoorie having a beautiful garden and an artificial mini lake with boating facilities. It is located at a distance of 4 Kms. by cycle rickshaw, pony or by car and only two Kms. on foot via Waverly Convent Road.

Camel’s Back Road
Starting from Kulri Bazaar near Rink Hall and ending at Library bazaar, the Camel's back road covers a total distance of about 3 Kms. The main charm of this road is horse riding and walking. The view of the Himalayas from this road is marvelous. Camel’s Rock with a life like resemblance can be seen from the spot near Mussoorie Public School, which lies on this road.

Jharipani Fall
This Beautiful fall is at a distance of 8.5 Kms. from Mussoorie & it lies on the Mussoorie-Jharipani road. Visitors can go by bus or by car upto 7 Kms. to Jharipani from where the fall is 1.5 Kms., on foot.

Bhatta Fall
The Bhatta Fall is an ideal spot for bathing and picnics. It is located at a distance of 7 Kms. from Mussoorie on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road. Buses and cars drive upto Balta village from where the fall is 3 km by car or by foot.

Mossey Fall
This is a beautiful fall that is surrounded by dense forests. It is at a distance of 7 Kms from Mussoorie via Balahisar or Barlowganj.

Mussoorie Lake
The Mussoorie Lake is a newly developed picnic spot & it is situated on Mussoorie-Dehradun road. The lake is about 6kms from Mussoorie. It is a delightful spot. The Pedal boats are available here for boating in the lake. It commands an enchanting view of Doon Valley and nearby villages.

Van Chetna Kendra
The Van Chetna Kendra is developed as a picnic spot and has a park surrounded with pine forest and flowering shrubs. It is situated at a distance of about 2 Kms. from Tehri bye pass road. The Ban Chetna Kendra is approachable by foot, car or by taxis. The main attraction of the Van Chetna Kendra is the wild life of the park like Ghurar, Kanakar, Himalayan Peacock, Monal etc.

Sir George Everest House
The office & residence of Sir George Everest, the first Surveyor General of India is situated here. It is 6 km. from Mussoorie and is known as the Park Estate. The highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest is named after him.

Jwalaji Temple (Benog Hill)
The Jwalaji Temple is situated on the top of the Benog Hill and has an idol of Mata Durga in it. It is 9 Kms. to the west of Mussoorie and at an altitude of 2104 Mts. The temple is surrounded by thick forests and offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks, Doon Valley and the Yamuna valley.

Clouds End
Clouds End was a bungalow built in 1838 by a British Major. It was one of the First Four buildings of Mussoorie. The bungalow has since then been converted into a hotel called Clouds End. It is situated at the extreme west of Mussoorie Hill, 8 Kms. from Library. The resort is surrounded by thick forest. This beautiful Resort offers a wide variety of floras and fauna besides a panoramic view of snow clad Himalayas and the Yamuna River. Clouds end is the most ideal resort for honeymoon couples and foreigners.

Childer’s Lodge
This is the highest peak of Mussoorie. It is situated near Lal Tibba & is at a distance of about 5 Kms. from the Tourist Office. One can go on horse back or on foot to Childer’s Lodge. Snow view from this point is breathtaking.

Yamuna Bridge
The Yamuna Bridge is an ideal spot for fishing. It is situated at a distance of about 27 Kms. from Mussoorie on Chakrata-Barkot Road. Permits for fishing can be obtained from the Divisional Forest Officer, Mussoorie. Ph.: 632335.

Dhanaulti
Dhanolti is an ideal place for a quiet weekend. Located on Mussoorie-Tehri Road at a distance of about 25 Kms. from Mussoorie. On the way, Buranskhanda offers a captivating view of the Himalayas amidst pine and deodar forest. A Tourist Bungalow is available. There is also a Forest Rest House for which permit can be obtained from D.F.O., Mussoorie. Hotel Dhanolti Breeze also provides comfortable accommodation.

Surkanda Devi
Situated on Mussoorie-Tehri Road, Surkanda Devi is about 33 Kms. from Mussoorie and 8 Kms. from Dhanolti. Visitors can go to Kaddu Khal (Devas-Thali) by Bus and by Car where the temple is about 2 Kms. on foot. It offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas. A visit to this top is an experience one can never forget.
A fair is held every year on "Ganga Dussehra" between in the month of May - June.
Chamba (Tehri): About 31 Kms. from Dhanolti. The drive is excellent as the road passes through the fruit orchards. During season, apples are available in abundance all along the route. In springs, one can capture on camera Rhododendron and various other fruit trees, which are a feast to the eyes when in full bloom. In the backdrop are the magnificent Himalayas. A Tourist Bungalow and few others hotels are available for a comfortable stay.

Lakhammandal
Past Kempty Falls, Lakha-Mandal is 75 Kms. on Mussoorie-Yamunotri Road. One can drive upto KUWA about 71 Kms. and from there river Yamuna is to be crossed by a motorable bridge.There are hundreds of idols of archaeological importance, which have been preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India. Legend has it that the Kauravas made a shellac house and conspired to burn the Pandavas alive here.

Nag Devta Temple
This is an ancient temple that is situated on Cart Mackenjie road. It is at a distance of about 6km from Mussoorie. Vehicles can go right upto the spot. The Nag Devta Temple provides a charming view of Doon Valley as well as of Mussoorie.
